HIV treatment is now HIV prevention

When a person with HIV takes their meds as prescribed and keeps the amount of HIV in their body low, they have ZERO RISK of passing HIV to their sexual partners.

Undetectable = Untransmittable is a new, simple way to describe the results of taking your meds daily to keep the amount of HIV in your body low.

It means:

UNDETECTABLE: Your lab results show very little HIV present in your body for six months or longer.

UNTRANSMITTABLE: You have ZERO RISK of passing HIV on to your sexual partners.
